NAUI Scuba Diver Certification Course
Upon graduation, you will be certified and competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision. You will receive a lifetime certification card honored around the world.
Course consists of:
- The physics, physiology, and medical aspects as they relate to a diver's performance and safety in the water.
- About 1 day of confined water training working on water skills (actual time may vary). We usually try to do most of the confined water training at the Kohala County Pool at Kamehameha park in Kapaau.
- A minimum of 5 open water dives over a two day to three day period

Participants must:
- Be 15 years of age or older (or 12 for junior certification)
- Be able to swim 225 yards using any stroke non-stop
- Be able to float/tread water for 10 minutes.
- Be able to Swim 50 feet underwater on one breath
- Be free of any respiratory, circulatory illnesses.
